Job SummaryThe Warehouse Associate is a part of the Division of Facilities Planning & Management (FP&M), Department of Physical Plant in the operational area of Stores at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. As a Warehouse Associate, your work will support the daily warehouse operations by receiving, processing, and organizing a wide variety of deliveries. This role involves frequent interaction with coworkers, FP&M tradespeople, and vendor delivery personnel.
Responsibilities include interpreting packing lists, maintaining accurate inventory records, developing expertise in warehouse products and materials, ordering and utilizing a computerized inventory management system. This position requires the ability to work independently in a secure, climate‑controlled warehouse environment while ensuring efficient inventory control and distribution of supplies.
Ongoing/Renewable. Full‑Time: 100% FTE. Hours are typically scheduled from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Monday to Friday.
Key Job Responsibilities- Inspects and inventories received items and processes notifications to appropriate entities
- Tracks inventory levels and places replenishment orders following established vendor procurement procedures
- Generates inventory reports to account for available stock and usage
- Shelves inventory and maintains organization
- Provides product information, guidance, and training to customers and coworkers

Compensation$23.00 hourly minimum. The minimum rate for this position is $23.00, but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
