Material Handler / Equipment Operator – Madison

We are hiring a Material Handler / Equipment Operator for a leading scrap metal recycling provider. If you enjoy active, hands‑on warehouse work and want a stable career with a company that values sustainability, this is a great opportunity.

• $20 to $24 per hour depending on experience
• Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with occasional Saturdays
• Strong stability with an established regional industry leader

• Greet retail customers, inspect incoming scrap metal, and properly identify ferrous and non‑ferrous commodities
• Weigh materials accurately and enter product and customer details into the inventory system
• Process customer transactions and ensure correct documentation for payments
• Safely operate forklifts, balers, and other heavy equipment to move and organize material throughout the yard
• Assist with loading, unloading, and general warehouse duties to keep operations efficient
• Work comfortably in a warehouse and outdoor yard environment subject to dirt, dust, and changing weather conditions

• Proven customer service experience with a friendly, helpful attitude
• Confident forklift operation experience is required
• Previous warehouse, industrial, or outdoor yard experience preferred
• Prior experience with scrap metal identification or knowledge of ferrous and non‑ferrous materials is a plus
• Background with shredders, inventory management, or equipment operation is helpful
• Ability to work the standard schedule and occasional Saturdays as needed
