Accountant, Financial Reporting, Cost Accountant

Our client, a well-established and growing company in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join their finance team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with operations, leadership, and accounting professionals while supporting core accounting functions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, experience with month-end close activities, and an interest in inventory, cost accounting, and financial analysis.

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, bank accounts, and subledgers.
• Support inventory accounting, inventory reconciliations, and valuation processes.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and operational expenses.
• Prepare financial reports and assist with management reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Collaborate with production, operations, and supply chain teams to improve financial visibility and reporting accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company financial policies.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and ERP system enhancements.
  
  Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
