Charge Nurse
Effectively Leads Patient Care Team

Job Summary:
Effectively leads the patient care team to achieve optimum patient outcomes during their shift. Assumes responsibilities as delegated by the Director including direction, supervision and delegation of clinical and non-clinical responsibilities to staff. Facilitates effective communication and resolution of work site operation issues that support Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville in its strategic initiatives.
Minimum Education , Experience, Training, and Licensures
Required:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Kentucky Board of Nursing or compact state license required.
- BLS required.
- ACLS is preferred within 3 months, not to exceed 6 months.
- Certification in area of expertise preferred.
- Avade workplace violence prevention training (Level III) required after hire or transfer, not to exceed 3 months, and maintained annually. Training provided in-house.
Experience:
Two years of experience in related area preferred.

Qualifications:
Demonstrated leadership qualities at current level of practice and good interpersonal and communication skills.
