Job Summary:
Administers, directs, and coordinates inter- and intra-departmental activities. Work is performed in accordance with Kentucky regulations for Registered Nurses, established hospital standards, nursing department/unit structure, process and outcome standards, regulatory and accreditation requirements, and the philosophy, goals and objectives of the hospital, nursing and education services.
Minimum Education , Experience, Training, and Licensures
Required:
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Kentucky Board of Nursing or compact state license. BCLS required. ACLS and PALS or ENPC preferred within 3 months, not to exceed 6 months from date of hire/transfer. NIH Stroke Scale Certification required within 3 months from date of hire.
TNCC recommended within 2 years of hire. CEN or board certified in area of expertise recommended within 5 years of hire. Avade workplace violence prevention training (Level III) required after hire, not to exceed 3 months, and maintained annually. Training provided in-house.
