Motor Rewind Technician

Hibbs Electromechanical is seeking a Winder to join our skilled team in Madisonville, KY. The Winder has experience in repairing and rewinding electric motors, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and commitment to safety. It is responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing metal structures and equipment using various welding techniques.

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair electric motors, including AC, DC, and specialty motors.
• Knowledge in the safe operation of burn out and bake ovens.
• Perform rewinding of stators and rotors, ensuring compliance with specifications.
• Properly strip stators and armatures to minimize physical core damage.
• Insert wound coils under and over 15HP.
• Proper placement of coil with relationship to frame and insulation.
• Utilize testing equipment to evaluate motor performance post-repair.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical or vocational training preferred.
• Electric motor repair and rewinding experience required.
