Key Responsibilities
  • Provide social service assistance to eligible clients in areas such as food, lodging, clothing, furniture, and financial aid; interview clients to determine need and eligibility; assist clients recovering from disasters; maintain the Pathway of Hope program and HMIS for all shelter clients; prepare accurate client records; refer clients to community agencies; ensure compliance with program policies and procedures.
  • Prepare, complete, and process food, clothing, and furniture vouchers; direct clients to Lodge Kitchen, Thrift Store, or Distribution Center; pack food boxes for clients leaving the shelter or going into permanent housing; provide pantry food; receive and stock donated items; maintain an inventory of pantry items and disbursements.
  • Prepare administrative support: complete all Human Resources paperwork and TSAMM submissions for new hires, terminations, disciplinary actions, and other HR functions; review Ceridian for timesheet and pay errors and provide coaching and training to staff.
  • Obtain usernames and passwords for Paycom, Blood‑borne Pathogen (BBP), and Safe from Harm (SFH) for all new hires.
  • Distribute Open Enrollment information to staff.
  • Maintain organized and efficient files; file insurance claims for vehicle and property accidents.
  • Oversee and maintain accurate record keeping of gift cards.
Physical Responsibilities

Work requires the ability to lift and carry or push/pull moderately heavy materials (25–50lb). Activities are performed by sitting, standing, and walking as needed; tasks are primarily seated with occasional periods of standing or walking. Attendance and clear English communication are required.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two years of experience working in a social or public service environment assisting the public.
  • Or an equivalent combination of training and experience providing required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

  • Ability to prepare accurate and complete client records, reports, and statistics.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to type and key‑punched information into a computer.
  • Ability to sort and file documents alphabetically and numerically.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment, including telephone, typewriter, computer, and adding machine.
