Responsibilities

  • Accurately complete trailer logs and maintain DOT and FMCSA documentation in accordance with federal regulations.
  • Transport 48'–53' semi-trailers over short distances (typically < 20 miles) repeatedly throughout the shift; record movements using Tough Book and the Shuttle Tote Board.
  • Efficiently position and spot trailers as directed to support yard and warehouse operations.
  • Fuel trucks and perform routine checks to ensure vehicles remain in safe working condition.
  • Assist the receiving team with trailer movements or dock-related tasks when requested.
  • Operate ELD systems to track hours of service and log trip details where applicable.
  • Conduct lot audits to verify trailer placement and inventory accuracy.
  • Adhere to ISO, SQF guidelines and company policies to maintain quality and safety standards.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
  • Minimum of 1 year of verified over-the-road experience operating 48'–53' trailers.
  • Capable of sitting for extended periods during the shift.
  • Able to climb, bend, stoop, and kneel repeatedly during daily tasks.
  • Demonstrated history of safe driving practices and adherence to traffic regulations.
  • Ability to work in varying climate conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
