Role Description  The Fashion Designer role at MIRA THE ART OF STITCHERY is a full-time, on-site position based in Madurai. The Fashion Designer will create original garment concepts, develop sketches, and select suitable fabrics and embellishments for each design. Daily responsibilities include working with embroidery and stitch details, collaborating with pattern makers and tailors, overseeing fittings, and refining designs based on client and team feedback.

The role also involves preparing design specifications, maintaining consistency in quality and style, and supporting production to ensure timely delivery of collections.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Fashion Design and Fashion skills, including sketching, concept development, and an understanding of current trends.
Candidates should possess expertise in Embroidery and decorative stitch techniques, with attention to detail and garment aesthetics.
Candidates should possess knowledge of Textiles, including fabric properties, drape, and suitability for various designs.
Candidates should possess practical Fitting skills, with the ability to assess garment fit and make precise adjustments.
Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Fashion Design or a related field are preferred.
Strong visual sense, creativity, and manual dexterity, with the ability to translate ideas into finished garments.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with pattern makers, tailors, and clients.
Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain high quality standards in an on-site studio environment.
