Grader Operator

Job Summary:

The Grader Operator is responsible for operating a motor grader to spread, level, and smooth base materials and asphalt in preparation for paving and road construction projects. This role requires a high level of precision and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

* Operate motor graders to establish proper road grade and slope for paving projects.

* Fine grade surfaces in preparation for asphalt paving or other materials.

* Read and interpret blueprints, survey stakes, and grade sheets.

* Perform routine equipment maintenance and inspections.

* Collaborate with the crew to ensure the job site is safe and productive.

* Follow all safety procedures and company protocols.

* Communicate with the foreman and project managers regarding site progress or issues.

Requirements:

* Minimum 2 years of experience operating a motor grader in an asphalt, road construction, or grading environment.

* Ability to fine grade to within 1/10th of an inch with minimal supervision.

* Knowledge of GPS grading systems is a plus.

* Must have a valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required).

* Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

* Strong work ethic and willingness to work as part of a team.
