This role is responsible for estimating, bidding, and managing construction projects across public and private sectors. The position involves preparing cost estimates, reviewing project plans and specifications, coordinating with field teams and subcontractors, and supporting project execution from bid stage through completion. The role combines estimating responsibilities with project management oversight, ensuring cost accuracy, operational efficiency, and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Estimating & Bidding: Review project specifications and drawings; conduct site visits to determine scope; perform quantity takeoffs and prepare accurate bid proposals.
- Project Management Support: Assist in managing awarded contracts; coordinate with field leadership and superintendents to establish objectives and schedules.
- Cost Control: Track project costs and production metrics; assist with billing, subcontractor payments, and change order processing.
- Operations Coordination: Monitor subcontractor performance; troubleshoot material/equipment issues; ensure strict compliance with MSHA, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2+ years of project management or estimating experience in the construction industry.
- Ability to obtain/maintain required licenses and a valid driving record.
- Strong understanding of construction estimating and project execution workflows.
- Experience with estimating software such as HCSS.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with public and private sector bidding processes.
