Northrop Grumman is currently seeking an Operations Research Analyst - Level 2 or Level 3, to join our team.

The preferred location for this role is Redondo Beach CA. We may consider other major Northrop Grumman Space sector locations. This position can be filled at either a Level 2 or 3. In this job, you will:
* Lead data (internal research) driven costing strategies, analysis and solutions for complex capture and business shaping efforts.

* Develop estimating factors, regression analysis and estimating relationships from company data.

* Support Analysis-of-Alternatives (AoAs), Business Case Analyses (BCAs), affordability initiatives, should-cost exercises, engineering trade analyses and Design-to-Cost (DTC).

* Initiate and lead cost studies to generate metrics and analysis for business use.

* Organize and estimate new efforts generating ROMs, BPEs, or cost targets for large/complex efforts.

* Perform data collection, normalization, and analysis.

* Utilize proprietary and commercial models and software tools.

* Provide data visualization and relational analysis.

* Develop and manage relationships with technical (engineering) staff.

* Supporting the Sector historical cost and technical database.

* Identifying and evaluating risk and opportunities in cost estimates, terms and conditions, and all other business management related functions.

* Support and assist Independent Cost Evaluations (ICE) in support of the company-wide governance and risk management process.

Basic Qualifications:

* Level 2:
Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of professional experience in Cost Modeling and Data Engineering - OR - Master's degree with 1+ years of professional experience in Cost Modeling and Data Engineering.
* Level 3:
Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of professional experience in Cost Modeling and Data Engineering - OR - Master's degree with 3+ years of professional experience in Cost Modeling and Data Engineering.
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to make recommendations and provide guidance to effectively bring projects to completion.

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to use them in informing, presenting, negotiating and problem solving with a wide range of functions and people.

* Requires an active U.S. Government DoD Top-Secret security clearance at time of application,…
