Northrop Grumman, Space Systems, is seeking an experienced Configuration Analyst to join our team. This position will be supporting the Propulsion Systems Division at our facility located in Promontory, UT or Magna, UT
. In this senior role, you will be integral in overseeing and ensuring implementation of configuration management for our multiple solid rocket motor projects.

• Develop, implement, and maintain configuration management plans, policies, and procedures.
• Lead and oversee configuration identification, control, auditing, status accounting, and verification processes.
• Ensure that configuration control is applied to complex engineering changes within the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with various departments including engineering, production, and quality assurance to plan and manage product baselines and documentation.
• Conduct configuration audits to verify conformance to requirements and facilitate the resolution of discrepancies.
• Provide expert guidance and support on configuration management best practices to project teams.
• Maintain configuration management databases and tools, ensuring the integrity and security of configuration data.
• Lead training and mentoring initiatives of other configuration analysts.
• Prepare detailed reports and present findings to management and programs.
• Engage daily with programs on matters of configuration and change management, conduct and lead Configuration Control Boards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in configuration management or a related field, preferably within the aerospace industry.
• Strong understanding and experience with configuration management standards and practices (e.g., ISO, ANSI, CMII).
• Proficient in using configuration management software tools and systems.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Proven leadership and team management abilities.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if required.

• Certification in Configuration Management (e.g., CMII-P, CMC).
• Experience with Siemens enterprise-level PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems.
• Experience working within NASA and DoD configuration management requirements.
• Experience or practical knowledge of MRP systems

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
