The Principal Project Manager Level 3 or Senior Principal Project Manager Level 4 will be responsible for cost and schedule across diverse projects within Tooling, Facilities and Maintenance Engineering, ensuring safe and quality execution.

This position’s standard work schedule is 4/10 or a 9/80, allowing employees who work nine‑hour days Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This position can be filled at either a Level 3 or Level 4.

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget forecasts, for a portfolio of diverse projects.
• Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, production, and procurement teams to ensure alignment of project objectives and timelines.
• Identify project milestones, critical paths, and potential risks, and develop contingency plans to address them.
• Facilitate regular meetings and communications to keep all parties informed of project progress, changes, and issues.
• Oversee the installation process from start to finish, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.
• Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost‑effective solutions are implemented throughout the project.
• Prepare financial reports and forecasts and present them to senior management as needed.
• Approve invoices, change orders, and other project‑related financial documents.
• Conduct post‑project reviews with all parties to document lessons learned and provide continuous improvements for future projects.
• Proactively identify potential project risks and issues and develop strategies to mitigate or resolve them.
• Implement corrective actions as necessary to keep the project on track.
• Execute large capital projects in a manufacturing environment and drive project teams to achieve milestones.

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience – or – Master’s degree with 3 years of professional experience – or – PhD with 1 year of professional experience.

• 3 years of experience in project‑management methodologies and tools, including Gantt charts, project‑management software systems, and risk management.

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience – or – Master’s degree with 6 years of professional experience – or – PhD with 4 years of professional experience.

• 5 years of experience in project‑management methodologies and tools, including Gantt charts, project‑management software systems, and risk management.

• PMP or other relevant project‑management certification.
• Experience with large‑scale equipment installations in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for equipment installation in manufacturing environments.
• Experience with presentations to leadership and executives.
• Facilities or construction project experience.
