Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Quality Control Technician
- Level 2 or Level 3 to join our team in Magna, UT. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off. In this job, you will:
- Perform visual, in-process and final dimensional inspections on tightly tolerance piece parts, subassemblies and final assemblies in the production area.
- Perform Quality Process Assessments
- Performs required inspections in accordance with procedures and planning documentation.
- Performs required inspections using standard measurement instruments.
- Must be able to work shift work, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
- Able to acquire and maintain Employee Possessor (EP) status under the Safe Explosives Act (SEA).
- Other duties as assigned
This position can be filled at either a Level 2 or Level
3. Basic Qualifications for Level 2:
- High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
- Experience working with government contractors.
- SMI (Standard Measuring Instruments) experience
- Interpret drawings and specifications.
- Working knowledge and understanding of GD&T.
- Excellent shop math skills and advanced trigonometry.
- Experience with ISO 9000/AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
- Experience with Continuous Improvement/PES techniques.
- Must have good computer skills - MS Office suite.
- Must be able to work shift work, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required

- Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time, walk up and down stairs, climb up ladders, reach into tight spaces, and lift up to 30 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical strengths in processing, operations, and inspection. Possess the ability to plan and organize work in order to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Ability to work multiple programs while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to record detail information accurately, timely and follow instructions.
- Possess excellent communication skills and effective interface with Mission Assurance department members, suppliers, customers, all other departments within the organization and both technical and non-technical personnel.
