As an LNG Technician I at our Magna Plant, you will play an important role in supporting the safe operation and maintenance of our liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities. In this role, you will quickly build knowledge of LNG plant operations, demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, develop troubleshooting capabilities, and contribute to the reliable operation of critical facility equipment while working effectively as part of a highly skilled team.
What You Will Do:Operate, monitor, and maintain LNG plant and facility equipment, including compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, valves, storage tanks, boilers, generators, and related systems.
Perform installation, calibration, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair of instrumentation, control systems, and microprocessor-based equipment.
Install, calibrate, repair, and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and air-monitoring equipment.
Test, inspect, and maintain measurement and regulatory equipment to support safe and compliant facility operations.
Conduct equipment inspections, walkdowns, and operational checks to identify and resolve equipment or process issues.
Support environmental, safety, and regulatory compliance by following company procedures, industry standards, and operating requirements.
Collaborate with team members and leaders to safely execute maintenance and operational activities while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
0-3 years of experience operating and maintaining industrial, LNG, gas processing, or related plant facilities.
Basic knowledge of environmental regulations and safe work practices.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to work with instrumentation, electrical, and process equipment.
Ability to conduct site inspections, work in industrial environments, and perform duties at elevated heights.
Commitment to maintaining a strong safety culture and following established procedures.
Technical training, certification, or education in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related discipline.
Previous experience working in LNG, natural gas, petrochemical, or gas processing facilities.
Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation systems.
LNG spill control or fire suppression training/certification, or the ability to obtain certification within two years of hire.
The successful candidate will undergo various background screenings that include, but not limited to, a 5-year driving record, criminal check, a company-sponsored medical, and drug testing. This is not a traveling Wind Technician position and will be assigned to one site.
Work is performed in an industrial plant environment with exposure to noise, heat, cold, fumes, moving equipment, and confined spaces.
Rotating 12-hour day and night shifts to support 24/7/365 operations.
Overtime, weekend, holiday, and emergency response work may be required.
Up to 25% travel may be required.
Regular climbing, walking, standing, lifting, and working at various heights.
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and perform work in varying weather conditions.
Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 50 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
Salary:Ranges from $24.00 - $33.00 per hour USD for US locations based upon candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity.
