We have an excellent opportunity for Water Truck Drivers in our Magna, Utah location!
Water Truck DriversWater Truck Drivers are responsible for driving around the location, wetting the dirt to prevent dust. It is the operator's responsibility and duty to inspect equipment and make sure it is running correctly. Drivers are responsible for communicating with and informing the shop of all equipment maintenance needs in order to keep equipment in good working order. All drivers are required to observe all safety standards.
Responsibilities- Protect and enhance reputation within the industry
- Basic preventive maintenance (Pre Trips and Post-Trips)
- Achieve Knife River Vision, Mission, and Direction
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards (P.P.E.)
- Have a vested interest in the company's success and strive to better everyone and everything
- Understand the various types of equipment used in material production
- 3 years of equipment operating experience and water truck driving
- CDL with tanker endorsement
- Self‑motivated with a results‑driven approach
- Have a complete understanding of the equipment you operate
- Ability to see what needs to be done and do it
- Thoroughness, efficiency, reliability, and exact timeliness is critical
- Ability and attitude to support all employees with anything they need to be successful
- Willingness to adapt to changing circumstances
- Situational awareness, always be aware of your surroundings
- Ability to interpret hand signals
Must be physically able to pass a pre‑employment physical and drug test. Water Truck Drivers must be capable of working all day according to local laws while paying attention to their personal surroundings and changing environments. A pre‑employment physical and drug test will be required before employment to ensure physical health. This job can require lifting heavy loads 50 lbs+ on rare occasions (fabric rolls and tools) and is extremely strenuous on the body.
Ability to stand up all day, walk across the job site, and be able to use manually operated tools are a requirement.
