We are seeking a senior plumbing detailer with strong experience supporting plumbing contractors on large commercial and industrial construction projects. This role will focus on creating detailed plumbing models and drawings used for pre‑fabrication and installation. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience in a contractor environment, strong Revit skills, and the ability to build and manage custom ITMs within CAD Fabrication MEP to support fabrication workflows.
Key Responsibilities- Develop detailed plumbing models and drawings to support fabrication and field installation
- Produce spool drawings and coordinated layouts for prefabricated plumbing systems
- Utilize Revit to create accurate BIM models for plumbing systems
- Create and maintain custom ITMs within CAD Fabrication MEP to support fabrication standards
- Coordinate plumbing layouts with structural, architectural, and other MEP trades
- Work closely with fabrication shops and field teams to ensure constructability and efficiency
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project documents
- Update models and drawings based on RFIs, field conditions, and coordination meetings
5+ years of plumbing detailing experience within a plumbing or mechanical contractor environment
Direct experience supporting plumbing pre-fabrication is required
Advanced proficiency in Revit
Strong experience with CAD Fabrication MEP, including creating custom ITMs
Solid understanding of plumbing systems, fabrication workflows, and installation practices
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and mechanical specifications
Strong coordination and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications- Experience on large commercial or industrial construction projects
- Familiarity with BIM coordination processes and clash detection
- Experience working directly with fabrication shops and field installation teams
