Solstice Consulting Group is seeking a Plant Operations Manager for our chemical manufacturing client. This is an in-office position located in the Magnolia, Arkansas area with up to 20% domestic travel as necessary.
Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

Base salary of $165k - $195k DOE plus bonus opportunity and full benefits

Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and 10+ years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment

Supervisory and budgetary experience required

Responsibilities:
  • Lead plant operations with a strong focus on HSEQ, cost control, and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with regulatory and company standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across safety performance, compliance, operating costs, material variances, capital projects, and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Ensure all field personnel understand, follow, and comply with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements, fostering a culture of accountability and operational discipline.
  • Coach and mentor in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and the development of accurate, actionable corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Develop and deliver training for field personnel on safe work practices, including incident reporting, root cause analysis, and company safety programs.
  • Meet or exceed targets for production goals, on time shipping and operating costs; identify performance gaps and partner across the company to implement sustainable improvements.
  • Manage operations resources to ensure adequate workforce coverage and operational continuity.
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, supply chain, and HSEQ teams to support safe and efficient plant operations.
