The primary goal of this position is to drive membership growth and retention by delivering exceptional experiences that our members want to repeat and share with friends and family, making us their primary financial institution. Success in this role will be achieved by effectively implementing our sales processes and activities, aimed at increasing wallet share through identifying members  financial needs, cross-selling relevant products and services, engaging in proactive outbound calls, and deploying targeted efforts to retain members who may consider leaving.

Each interaction is an opportunity to deepen our financial relationship, strengthening trust and commitment, and positioning us as the preferred choice for all their financial needs. This role is responsible for maintaining compliance with all required regulations and company policies and procedures, including, but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) policies.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with opening accounts for new members and assist with closing accounts as needed.
  • Cross-sell products and services to existing members, identify new sales opportunities, and attain referrals. Update the sales management tool system with accurate and timely information.
  • Assists members with the loan application process utilizing the loan origination system.
  • Reach out to existing members via outbound calls to promote applicable products.
  • Continuously expand knowledge base on product knowledge and industry to become a subject matter expert.
  • Assist members with service requests to identify problems and resolve them within their authority levels. Additionally, review the accounts of current members and inform them of new opportunities and products to improve and enhance their credit union experience.
  • Receives and processes financial transactions, including, but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments. Assist branch staff with opening and closing and procedures that require dual control.
Qualifications
  • Be available to work Saturdays, as scheduled.
  • Must be able to accurately and efficiently count money and make change.
  • Have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Have basic knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Provide prompt, accurate, courteous, friendly, timely and professional service to all members and ECCU employees.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and work environment.
  • Maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness.
  • Maintain compliance/alignment with company culture, internal and external service standards.
  • Due to the fiduciary nature of this position, candidates must meet background and credit review standards consistent with regulatory requirements.
