Operations Manager
Job Summary
Starting pay rate: $22 hourly - based on experience.
ResponsibilitiesQuality Control:
Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes and standards. Lead inspection activities and ensure compliance with specifications and customer requirements. Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Maintain documentation related to quality audits, inspections, and reports.
Machining Operations:
Oversee daily machining operations of Manual and CNC Lathes to ensure productivity, efficiency, and precision. Collaborate with production teams to optimize workflows and reduce downtime. Ensure machinery is maintained and operating within safety and performance standards.
Shipping & Receiving:
Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including material handling and inventory control. Ensure accurate documentation, labeling, and tracking of shipments. Coordinate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to meet delivery timelines.
Part Trimming / Finishing:
Supervise trimming and finishing processes to ensure parts meet quality and dimensional specifications. Implement standardized methods to improve consistency and reduce waste. Train and support staff in best practices for finishing operations.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement:
Supervise, train, and develop cross-functional team members. Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and operational efficiency. Track and report on KPIs such as quality metrics, production output, scrap, and delivery performance.
- 5+ yrs manufacturing operations, including quality control and machining experience.
- Strong understanding of quality systems (ISO standards preferred).
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and process improvement abilities (Lean/Six Sigma a plus).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Forklift experience a plus.
- Lift/Carry up to 50 lbs.
- Walk, stand, stoop, bend for 8-10 hours/day.
- Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled warehouse.
- Work well in a team environment.
- Follow company guidelines & procedures.
- Reliable transportation.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Pre‑employment drug and background screening.
Monday – Thursday: 6:45 am to 5:30 pm.
Friday:
As needed – Must be available to work Friday.
30 minute lunch and two 15 minute breaks at 10:00 am & 3:00 pm.
40 hrs – Plus potential overtime.
