Accounts Receivable Specialist

The Opportunity

As we continue to scale, we are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated AR Account Specialist to join our Mahwah, NJ office. This is a high-impact role sitting at the intersection of collections, retailer compliance, and cash flow management.

A significant portion of this role is dedicated to managing, disputing, and recovering chargebacks from major retail partners—particularly Amazon. If you have fought and won chargeback battles with large retailers, know how to navigate Vendor Central inside and out, and take pride in recovering every dollar owed, we want to hear from you.

• Own the full chargeback process—investigate, dispute, and resolve deductions and chargebacks from Amazon and other major retail accounts with urgency and precision.
• Manage Amazon Vendor Central activity end to end, including deductions, short pays, disputes, and portal management, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
• Recover revenue by proactively identifying invalid deductions, building dispute cases with supporting documentation, and following through until resolution.
• Monitor aging reports and outstanding balances to drive timely collections and escalate risks to leadership.
• Generate and distribute accurate customer invoices in a timely manner.
• Monitor EDI invoicing platforms to ensure successful transmission of all invoices.
• Maintain and update customer account records, including balances, payment history, and account activity.
• Apply and reconcile incoming payments, including checks, wires, credit cards, and other remittances.
• Review customer credit limits and payment status to determine appropriate sales order releases.
• Prepare accounts receivable reports, including aging, cash receipts, and other reporting for internal stakeholders.
• Communicate account issues, risks, and collection concerns to the Controller and accounting leadership.

• 3+ years of experience in accounts receivable or a related accounting function.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience managing chargebacks, deductions, and disputes with Amazon and other major big-box retailers—this is a core requirement, not a nice-to-have.
• Proven track record of successfully disputing and recovering invalid chargebacks through Vendor Central or similar retailer portals.
• Deep familiarity with the types of deductions retailers issue—including pricing, shipping, compliance, and shortage claims—and how to build a successful dispute.
• Experience working with accounting ERP systems;
  Net Suite is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Experience with High Radius is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Analytical, resourceful, and persistent, with a strong follow-through mindset—someone who does not give up on a valid dispute.
