Technical Trainer Level I

A Technical Trainer is passionate about reaching technicians to help them advance their careers! You are responsible for the facilitation of all Technical Training courses and administering assessments to evaluate effectiveness, including set up and tear down courses. Some travel (approximately 15%) to other training academy locations or specified sites may be required.

• Facilitate live, virtual, and remote general/basic technical training courses
• Proctor general basic level assessments
• Act as mentor to technicians
• Set up and tear down courses
• Organize tool inventory, equipment, and workshop environment
• Clean and maintain local fleet
• Check in training participants and ensure safety protocols are adhered to
• Ensure participants are properly dressed for a productive and safe session
• Maintain rosters and close out courses
• Set cars up with faults as needed for training tasks

• Strong presentation and facilitation skills
• Automotive technical competencies gained through hands‑on roles at retail or independent vehicle service centers, or formal education at technical colleges
• Collaboration with trainers from other locations on classroom opportunities
• Computing and analytical skills: MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel
• Understanding of adult learning concepts and facilitation styles

• At least 2 years of experience delivering technical courses, either with a luxury automotive manufacturer or through a certified automotive technical school
• Red Seal Skills Level Certification in Automotive Technical Competence (Canada) is a plus
• Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics and hybrid/all‑electric vehicle systems

$79,834 to $134,857 per year (determined based on experience, qualifications, internal equity, location and company guidelines).
