Responsibilities
- Permanent position for an Applications Engineer to provide technical support to sales and customers.
- Provide support to Manufacturing and Engineering.
- Apply engineering solutions to technical issues.
- Ensure that cable designs adhere to pertinent specifications, codes, and client prerequisites.
- Create and assess reports and studies that fulfill client specifications.
- Present technical information.
- Perform engineering calculations, including impedance, ampacity, conductor short circuit currents, etc.
- Travel to customer sites to deliver technical presentations about cable products.
- Test and qualify cables.
- Attend engineering conferences.
- BS Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 of experience with wire and cable product applications.
- Experience delivering technical presentations.
- Ability to work independently and within teams.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
- Experience with MS Office 365 suite of tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with industry standards, including NEC, IEEE, NEC, UL, ICEA, etc.
- Knowledge of three-phase power systems.
- Familiarity with the utility and industrial fields.
