HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operates and maintains watch over various central plant, Centrifugal Chillers, heating and building equipment, engine generators, circulating pumps and fans
- Manages regularly scheduled preventative maintenance according to a pre‑determined schedule
- Manages complex mechanical projects
- May maintain documentation such as power diagrams, network diagram and physical space usage
- Promote, support, and enforce NTT Data standards as they apply to the Facility Maintenance department
- Control and administer all activities in the Facility Maintenance department
- Responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations, tooling and plant facilities
- 1+ years’ experience in critical facilities operations
- Universal EPA Certification
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
- Previous experience in HVAC or other related fields
- Familiarity with HVAC wiring diagrams
- Ability to handle physical workload
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of HVAC and refrigeration systems
- Ability to read, interpret, utilize and train on manuals, schematics and control circuit
- Technical aptitude
- Knowledge of local codes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Conflict management skills
- Detail‑oriented and highly organized – able to multi‑task
- Computer skills: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, general software navigation
- Extensive commercial HVAC knowledge (centrifugal knowledge required)
- Moderate commercial plumbing knowledge (preferred)
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment background check and drug screen
- Working knowledge of HVACR controls and sequence of operation
- Understand schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical plans and blueprints
- Good concepts of servicing both new and older equipment (if required)
- A willingness to learn new ideas, methods and perspectives
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this role is $67,000 – $102,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills and other qualifications.
This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
