Sr. Manufacturing Engineer (JN - Mahwah, New Jersey
Salary: USD 60 - 62.11 per hour. 6‑month contract, W‑2, onsite in Mahwah, NJ.
DescriptionThis role supports Operations Engineering through the coordination and execution of product transfer and process implementation activities within manufacturing and service operations.
Responsibilities- Supports Operations Engineering through the coordination and execution of product transfer and process implementation activities within manufacturing and service operations.
- Assists in the planning, development, and execution of engineering deliverables associated with product transfers, including process validation, inspection readiness, and documentation updates.
- Ensures that quality standards, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures are met or improved throughout the transfer and implementation process.
- Participates in evaluating manufacturing and inspection processes to ensure efficiency, cost‑effectiveness, and compliance with established standards.
- Collaborates cross‑functionally with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and external suppliers to support successful execution of project timelines and deliverables.
- Provides technical support for process development, equipment readiness, and inspection methods while identifying opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation.
- Directs and coordinates fabrication, installation, operation, application, maintenance and repair of mechanical or electromechanical machines, equipment, tools, engines, and systems.
- Ensures that quality levels and industry standards are maintained or improved in the manufacturing process.
- Oversees installation, operation, maintenance and repair of equipment such as centralized heat, gas, water, and steam systems.
- Evaluates mechanical products to determine their cost effectiveness and efficiency.
- May evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions.
- Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years’ experience required.
- Supports the Operations Engineering Instrument Services Department (ISC) in executing a product transfer project.
- Supports site readiness activities, maintains and updates engineering documentation (e.g., process flows, risk assessments, and work instructions), and enables inspection readiness through measurement system development, data analysis, and training.
- Coordinates gage and fixture management (including enrollment and calibration), supports system and router updates, and assists with process and labeling changes.
