Experience with
Honeywell and Johnson Controls platforms is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with diagnosing control system issues remotely when possible.
  • Support startup, commissioning, and field troubleshooting on an as‑needed basis.
  • Help prepare service proposals, repair quotes, control upgrade recommendations, and scope descriptions.
  • Communicate with customers regarding service status, follow‑up items, recommended repairs, and scheduling.
  • Coordinate with vendors for parts, pricing, technical information, and product support.
  • Maintain accurate service documentation, programming records, job notes, equipment information, and customer history.
  • Assist the service department with scheduling support, job coordination, work order review, and closeout documentation.
  • Assist the sales department with technical review, proposal preparation, and customer follow‑up.
  • Help identify opportunities for control system repairs, upgrades, replacements, and preventive maintenance.
  • Support internal processes to improve service department organization, responsiveness, and efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Experience with HVAC controls, building automation systems, or DDC controls.
  • Familiarity with Honeywell and/or Johnson Controls programming and service tools.
  • Strong understanding of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems, including rooftop units, air handlers, VAV systems, boilers, chillers, pumps, and related equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, control drawings, wiring diagrams, and sequences of operation.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills related to HVAC controls and system operation.
  • Comfortable working in an office environment using computers, email, spreadsheets, service software, and documentation tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, technicians, vendors, and internal team members.
  • Valid driver’s license required for occasional site visits.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with Honeywell WEBs, Niagara, Johnson Controls Metasys, or similar BAS platforms.
  • Prior experience as an HVAC controls technician, service technician, dispatcher, service coordinator, or technical support specialist.
  • Experience preparing service documentation, proposals, estimates, or customer‑facing recommendations.
  • Knowledge of control wiring, BACnet, Modbus, Lon Works, networking, and BAS communication protocols.
  • Experience supporting commercial HVAC service operations.

This is primarily an office-based position
. The role will focus on programming support, technical assistance, documentation, customer communication, proposal support, and coordination with field technicians. Occasional field visits may be required for site review, startup assistance, troubleshooting, commissioning support, or customer meetings.

  • Salary range: $130,000-$160,000

  • Stable work environment with a growing HVAC service company.
Ideal Candidate
