Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, validation, and production launch of exterior vehicle components and accessories.
- Manage component development activities from concept through production.
- Develop and maintain engineering requirements, specifications, BOMs, and release documentation.
- Coordinate with suppliers for design reviews, feasibility studies, tooling development, and production readiness.
- Support engineering change management, issue resolution, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Execute and support validation activities including DVP&R, DFMEA, APQP, PPAP, and root cause analysis.
- Work closely with Design, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, and Supplier teams to meet program milestones.
- Support prototype builds, vehicle integration, testing, and launch activities.
- Ensure components meet quality, timing, cost, and performance targets.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of automotive product development experience.
Experience with automotive exterior systems/components.

- FMVSS Requirements
- 5+ years of automotive product engineering experience.
- Direct ownership of exterior vehicle components or accessories.
- Strong CATIA and Teamcenter experience.
- Experience leading components from concept through production launch.
- Comfortable working with OEMs, Tier‑1 suppliers, manufacturing plants, and validation teams.
- Strong understanding of automotive development processes and quality tools.
