Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting
Reporting to the Finance Manager, Customer Care, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing financial oversight and analytical support for vehicle warranty programs, electrification and other ad‑hoc products/services. This includes reporting, analyzing trends and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to optimize spend. The role serves as the finance lead to support strategic decision making through deep financial analysis, KPI tracking, and assistance with implementation of cost recovery initiatives and revenue improvements.
Responsibilities- Partner with U.S. and Central teams as the primary finance contact for warranty cost initiatives, electrification programs and other service‑related projects.
- Lead the development of business cases, financial evaluations and recommendations for warranty initiatives, campaigns and recalls.
- Analyze warranty costs, claims trends and program performance to identify risks, opportunities and actionable financial improvements.
- Manage accounting and financial reporting activities for warranty‑related programs, including revenue recognition, accruals, reserves and profitability analysis.
- Develop pricing strategies and profitability models for Service Plans, Roadside Assistance and other customer programs.
- Extract, analyze and communicate insights from large datasets while partnering with Finance, Operations, Audit and leadership teams to support decision‑making and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related discipline.
- Strong experience in financial analysis, accounting, forecasting, business case development and financial reporting.
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, with experience using BI and reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts to senior stakeholders.
- Proven ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Automotive industry experience and/or knowledge of warranty operations, vehicle service lifecycle, pricing and profitability analysis preferred.
