HP Indigo Digital Press Operator - Level 2

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Level 2 HP Indigo Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with HP Indigo digital presses and a solid understanding of digital print production processes. This role involves operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting HP Indigo presses to ensure the delivery of high-quality printed materials that meet customer specifications. The Level 2 Operator will play a key role in maintaining production efficiency, ensuring color accuracy, and adhering to internal quality standards and procedures.

• Press Operation: Set up, operate, and monitor HP Indigo digital presses to produce high-quality prints according to production schedules and customer requirements.
• Maintenance: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly press maintenance to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues with the press, ensuring minimal disruption to production. Interfacing directly with HP Indigo support to solve any issues outside of employee’s level of expertise.
• Color Management: Ensure color consistency and accuracy by calibrating the press and making necessary adjustments to match customer specifications.
• Quality Control: Inspect printed materials for defects, inconsistencies, or errors and take corrective actions as needed.
• Job Setup: Prepare print files, load substrates, and adjust press settings for various print jobs.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage ink, substrates, and other consumables to ensure adequate supply for production needs.
• Collaboration: Work closely with prepress, production, and quality assurance teams to meet deadlines and exceed customer expectations.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production runs, maintenance activities, and press performance.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience operating and maintaining HP Indigo digital presses (Level 2 Indigo certification).

• Teamwork: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams. Direct interactions with Pre‑production and finishing will be necessary to meet daily necessities based on volume and individual job urgency.
• Flexibility: Ability to work additional time when the need arises.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; HP Indigo Level 2 Certification required.
• Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with related software systems and tools, including RIP software and workflow management systems from HP Indigo.
