Leading flavor company seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Technician to support the Analytical Services and Research & Development teams through laboratory testing, analytical chemistry, and technical reporting. This role is responsible for performing analytical testing of flavor and fragrance materials, maintaining laboratory equipment, documenting results, and providing technical support for product development, quality investigations, and customer needs.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong scientific background, excellent laboratory practices, and the ability to accurately analyze, interpret, and communicate technical data. Success in this role requires attention to detail, critical thinking, collaboration, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Job Description- Perform analytical testing and evaluation of flavor and fragrance raw materials, finished products, and experimental formulations.
- Compound experimental formulations for the Flavor and Fragrance laboratories as needed.
- Clean, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation to ensure accurate and reliable analytical results.
- Prepare, analyze, interpret, and communicate laboratory data and technical reports.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records, documentation, and test results in accordance with company procedures.
- Participate in sensory evaluations, product development meetings, and technical discussions.
- Assist with product investigations, quality complaints, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Production, and other departments to support technical initiatives.
- Assist with laboratory organization, inventory management, and general housekeeping.
- Support validation studies, method development, and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.
- Train and assist junior laboratory personnel when appropriate.
- Maintain compliance with laboratory safety procedures, company policies, and regulatory.
- Stay current with laboratory techniques, analytical technology, and industry developments through ongoing training.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory practices and analytical chemistry techniques.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to analyze technical information and communicate findings effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
- Experience working with laboratory databases and reporting systems preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidential technical information.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional environment.
- Commitment to laboratory safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift laboratory materials as needed, and perform repetitive laboratory tasks while using appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline required.
- One (1) to two (2) years of laboratory experience preferred.
- Experience working with analytical instrumentation and laboratory equipment.
- Experience with in the flavor, fragrance, food, chemical, pharmaceutical, or consumer products industry is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interpret technical procedures, scientific data, and laboratory reports.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Experience using laboratory information systems (LIMS) and Microsoft Office applications preferred. in
Working Hours:
Willingness to adjust schedules as needed to accommodate call center demands.

Hours:
8:30am to 5:00pm
Pay Rate: $24.00 to $28.00 per hour
