The Temporary Material Handler supports daily warehouse operations by accurately picking, packing, receiving, and processing materials and stock transactions. This role ensures that all orders are handled efficiently and safely to support customer shipments, service operations, and production needs. The position requires attention to detail, adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and the ability to work effectively within a fast‑paced logistics environment.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Pick parts from inventory to fulfill Delivery Notes for customer and Service Representative orders.
- Stage and verify orders for accuracy prior to shipment.
- Pack materials securely using appropriate packaging supplies to ensure safe delivery.
- Process shipments using the computerized manifest system, verifying all order and shipping details.
- Receive, identify, and store incoming materials from Receiving Inspection, Production, and Returned Goods areas.
- Verify part numbers and quantities against documentation to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Perform routine stock rotation and ensure warehouse organization standards are maintained.
- Operate material handling equipment to move, load, and store materials as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic understanding of material and inventory control processes.
- Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and warehouse safety procedures.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with barcode scanning systems.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with team members.
- Experience operating power material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) preferred.
This position requires frequent physical activity including lifting up to 75 pounds (with assistance), climbing ladders, and operating warehouse equipment. Work involves extended periods of standing and use of barcode scanners or computer terminals. The role is performed primarily in a warehouse environment, adhering to all safety and quality standards.
