We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our independent workshop team in Maidenhead. Moving away from rigid main dealer targets and long hours, we offer a £36,000–£40,000 basic salary, permanent Monday-to-Friday hours (08:00–17:00, strictly no weekends), and an environment focused on technical quality over volume.

Your RoleAs a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our Maidenhead workshop, you will:
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical & electrical faults across a wide variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Carry out routine vehicle servicing
, scheduled preventative maintenance, and comprehensive system repairs to high standards. - Perform vehicle safety inspections and handle technical MOT preparation work efficiently.
- Maintain precise digital job records and collaborate closely with the service management team and senior technicians.
- Qualifications &
Experience:
NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or City & Guilds / time‑served equivalent) with a proven track record as a Technician or Mechanic in a professional workshop. F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it). - Licensing: Full UK driving licence is essential.
An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required. - Equipment & Mindset: Must possess your own hand tools for daily workshop repair tasks. Strong diagnostic problem‑solving skills, pride in quality workmanship, and a collaborative team attitude.
Situated in Maidenhead, our facility offers an easy daily commute for candidates travelling from Slough, Windsor, Bracknell, High Wycombe, Marlow, Reading, and the surrounding Berkshire and Buckinghamshire regions.
