Electrician

Electrician – Annual salary up to £42,126.

Location:

Maidstone. Travel required across Kent. Salary: £42,126 per annum, plus company van and fuel card.

Contract:

Full time – Permanent (42.5 hrs per week).

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Electrician to join our team. You will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance duties, including planned preventive maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, fault finding, testing and inspection. You will ensure all electrical works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with current legislation and compliance standards. Day-to-day duties include responding to maintenance requests, supporting project works, identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring that buildings remain safe, operational and compliant.

You will work closely with clients, contractors and internal teams to deliver a high‑quality service and support the effective operation of the facilities management function.

• Proven experience as an electrician
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, City & Guilds 18th Edition Inspection testing (2391/2 or 2394/2395)
• Willingness to travel and work independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Full UK driving licence; must be aged over 21, licence held over 3 months, less than 9 points to drive a Mears vehicle
• Eligibility to work within the UK;
  Mears does not offer visa sponsorship
• Subject to relevant DBS/Security checks before or upon commencement of employment
