Pay Rate:  £14.11 per hour PAYE (paid weekly via Pertemps)
Contract Type:  Temporary Assignment
Duration:  09 August 2026 to 04 October 2026

Working Hours:

09:00 - 17:00, shifts Monday to Sunday ( Weekend Availability Required)

Pertemps are currently recruiting for a  Handyman  to join a busy and customer-focused accommodation and facilities environment in  Gillingham, Kent  on a temporary assignment from  09/08/2026 until 04/10/2026 .

This role would suit candidates with experience as a  Hanyperson, Handyman, Facilities Assistant, Maintenance Operative, Caretaker, Building Services Operative, Facilities Operative, Property Maintenance Technician, Site Assistant or General Maintenance Operative .

Handyman

Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the site.
Complete routine building inspections and maintenance checks.
Undertake general building repairs and maintenance work
Repair and maintain doors, windows and associated fixtures.
Support emergency building repairs and seasonal project work.
Diagnose faults, carry out repairs and escalate issues where necessary.
Handyman Skills & Experience Required
Basic joinery and carpentry skills.
Basic plastering skills, including repairing holes and wall damage.
Basic domestic plumbing experience.
Basic knowledge of using hand and electrical tools.
Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
