We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable commercial main dealer in Maidstone, Kent, seeking an experienced and dedicated HGV Technician. - Up to £53,000 basic salary with potential OTE of approximately £55,000 based on overtime and efficiency
- Alternate shift pattern: earlies and lates, plus Saturday mornings on rota (paid at time and a half)
- Overtime opportunities paid at time and a half
- 31 days holiday including bank holidays, rising to 33 days with service

- Conduct MOT preparations, repairs, diagnostics, servicing, and maintenance of heavy goods vehicles
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical faults with precision
- Write clear and detailed job cards, ensuring high-quality workmanship
- Collaborate with team members to ensure vehicles are safe and roadworthy
- Utilise the latest diagnostic tools and facilities within a fast-paced workshop environment
- Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times as a HGV Technician
- Work within a shift pattern involving alternate early and late shifts, with paid overtime for Saturday mornings
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Minimum of three years’ experience working on heavy vehicles
- Own toolkit suitable for professional repairs
- Ability to perform all aspects of heavy vehicle maintenance to high standards
- Valid UK driving licence; HGV and PSV licences are desirable but not essential
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with diagnostics and electronic repair methods is highly desirable
- Motivated to develop skills through ongoing training, including IRTEC qualifications
