Salary: £21.00 per hour DOE

Hours:

40 hours per week

Shift: Monday to Friday + rotating Saturdays paid at time and a half
 
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and qualified HGV Technician to join a thriving and successful commercial vehicle business.

This role offers a competitive hourly rate, regular daytime hours and overtime opportunities through a rotating Saturday rota.

The Role
As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on commercial vehicles to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

· Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs efficiently and to manufacturer standards

· Diagnose faults and accurately identify appropriate repair solutions

· Ensure all work is completed in line with agreed job specifications and budgets

· Follow company service processes and workshop procedures

· Accurately complete time recording and job cards

· Prepare and maintain vehicles in line with DVSA and MOT requirements

· Ensure high standards of workmanship, safety and customer service at all times

What We're Looking For:

· Previous experience working as an HGV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician Level 3 City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance &   Repair

· Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities

· Good knowledge of DVSA requirements and MOT preparation

· Strong technical knowledge of commercial vehicles

· Ability to work in an organised and methodical manner

· Good problem-solving skills

· Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
