Introduction
To support the installation, maintenance, repair and commissioning of mechanical equipment on customer sites. The role provides practical experience in mechanical engineering within the water industry and supports the development of the skills and competencies required to become a qualified Site Technician.

What You'll Do- Assist with the installation of penstocks, valves, actuators, pipework, and mechanical equipment at water and wastewater treatment sites
- Learn how to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and site plans
- Support mechanical fitting, alignment, assembly, and testing activities
- Use hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment safely and correctly
- Assist with inspection, maintenance, and repair of mechanical assets
- Participate in site preparation, equipment setup, and commissioning activities
- Follow company health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures at all times
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
- Work effectively as part of a site team and communicate professionally with colleagues and clients
- Attend college/training provider sessions and complete apprenticeship coursework and assessments
Progress to fully qualified site technician.
