Kleinschmidt has a full-time opening for a Staff Accountant to handle multiple deadline-oriented tasks in a fast-paced environment. This position is open to any location. Our flexibility and core value of relationships allow us to offer employees the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment including working from the office and remotely.
Salary: $/hour (based on experience)
Who You AreAn experienced professional with a bachelor's degree in accounting and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Certified Public Accountant certification is preferred.
Knowledgeable:
Experience with project accounting, invoicing, accounts payable, fixed assets, personal property tax returns, sales/use tax filings, general ledger/month end close, and records management. Advanced proficiency with accounting and payroll software (Vantagepoint, ADP Workforce Now) and Microsoft Office Suite is strongly preferred. Experience with researching GAAP/IRS/CRA laws and regulations a plus.
Relationship-focused:
Ability to interface well with all levels of staff in a fast-paced team environment. Ability to execute instruction from professional staff, managers, and executives through effective prioritization, coordination of resources, and logistics.
Interpersonal & Organizational
Skills:
Exceptional oral and written communication skills and solid mathematics ability. Ability to problem solve and provide solutions. Ability to use resources and to make sound judgments.
- Must possess permanent authorization to work in the United States.
- Must be willing to travel and possess a valid driver's license.
As a Staff Accountant, you will be accountable for multiple deadline-oriented tasks including, but not limited to project accounting, invoicing, month end reconciliations, and accounts payable. The candidate will also help with year-end audits, tax return preparation, and tax reporting (monthly, quarterly, and annual) for four companies.
