Accounts Receivable & Lodging Accountant

Sunday River is seeking an Accounts Receivable & Lodging Accountant to join our accounting team. This position reports to the Vice President and Controller and requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while meeting weekly and monthly deadlines.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable collaborating with multiple departments across the resort. Key responsibilities include reconciling group, leisure, and conference billings with a high degree of accuracy, working across multiple systems to support billing processes, maintaining organized invoice records, and performing daily account reconciliations.

Responsibilities
  • Reconcile all Group, Leisure, and Conference billings - must be timely and accurate
  • Work with multiple departments and systems for billing purposes
  • Maintain file of all group invoices
  • General Accounts Receivable
  • Verify daily room rates are at or above floor rates
  • Generate daily SMS upload
  • Daily Reconciliation of clearing accounts
  • Review daily refund and package adjustment requests
  • Generate monthly rental income statements & checks
  • Invoice data entry for association accounting
  • Post HOA & Property Tax payments
  • Assist with summer cash room operations and deposits
  • Work weekends and some holidays as business dictates
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in a business-related field preferred
  • The ideal candidate will have 2 years of related experience
  • A combination of education and work experience may fulfil the above requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with General Ledger software a plus

Compensation & Benefits

  • Wage range of $25 to $29 per hour, based on experience and qualifications, with room for professional growth and advancement.
