Cost Accountant

Job Summary

This position will report directly to the Controller, with a primary focus of managing site Bill of Materials (BOMs) in the company's ERP system. This includes conducting cost reviews, working with site teams to cost new products, and reviewing financials for accuracy. The role will also support Finance & manufacturing teams with the setup of new SKUs and other ad hoc analysis as required.

This is a hybrid role based out of Poland, ME.

Primary responsibilities include monthly & annual BOM reviews with a high level of accuracy & integrity, as well as supporting Site Management & Plant Operations with improvement efforts through in-depth analysis of BOMs & standard costs. The role will also work closely with the Controller to complete various Month End processes, Fixed Asset maintenance, inventory control & accuracy, & review of daily transactions.

• 3 years of Cost Accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is helpful, but not required.
• General knowledge of ERP systems.
• Very strong Excel skills are critical, with the ability to navigate existing spreadsheets a plus.
• Familiar with Outlook, Microsoft Teams.
• Ability to navigate different connecting systems & programs fluidly.
• Comfortable learning in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong skills to work independently and complete work.
• Strong skills for attention to detail.
• Some travel may be needed (minimal).
• This position has the ability to be hybrid (office/remote) once the new hire learning curve is successfully achieved.
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• May require long periods of time on the computer.
