Bookkeeper Position

We are looking for a detail-oriented bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations for a long-term contract opportunity in Belgrade, Maine. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable managing core accounting activities, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely processing of payables and receivables. The successful candidate will bring strong Quick Books experience and a dependable approach to reconciliations, reporting, and overall financial accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records by recording daily transactions and keeping bookkeeping data current and organized.
• Process vendor invoices, prepare payments, and monitor accounts payable activity to support timely and accurate disbursements.
• Manage customer billing, track incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balances to keep accounts receivable current.
• Reconcile bank accounts and related financial records on a regular basis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Use Quick Books to enter, review, and maintain accounting data while supporting consistent record accuracy.
• Assist with preparing routine financial summaries and documentation needed for internal review and decision-making.
• Review bookkeeping entries for completeness and accuracy, correcting errors and maintaining supporting documentation.
• Support additional accounting-related tasks as needed to help maintain smooth day-to-day financial operations.
