About the Team & Business Line:
Fund Administration is Citco's core business, and our alternative asset and accounting service is one of the industry's most respected. Our continuous investment in learning and technology solutions means our people are equipped to deliver a seamless client experience.
We are seeking a versatile and proactive AVP to join our Stockholm team. This role offers broad exposure across accounting and operational functions, and the successful candidate will be expected to take ownership of a diverse workload — from technical accounting responsibilities to the day-to-day operational and administrative tasks. We are looking for someone who thrives in a varied environment, embraces challenge, and brings a hands-on, can-do attitude to everything they do.
As a core member of our Stockholm Office team, you will be working with some of the industry's most accomplished professionals to deliver award-winning services for complex fund structures that our clients can depend upon.
ResponsibilitiesYour Role:
- In charge of the designated portfolio of clients ensuring that all client queries and requests are processed and completed in a timely manner, efficiently and qualitatively
- Pick-up, reflect accounting entries from legal documents in Swedish and English subject to Swedish law
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Manage and coordinate the end-to-end payroll process for client employees, liaising with employees, insurance providers, tax advisors, and client managers while maintaining strict confidentiality throughout.
- Review and validate payroll documents and employee expense reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant regulatory requirements.
- Deal with local providers in Sweden such as tax advisors, tax authorities, and local authorities and review the relevant documents prepared by such providers in support of the client entity directors
- Involved in periodic reviewing of transaction profiles and risk forms and updating these if needed
- Act as a director on client SPVs
About You
- Completed Training as an Accountant or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Management
- Relevant professional designation is an advantage, but not required
- At least 5 years relevant accounting experience, with knowledge of Swedish GAAP and IFRS and experience in preparation of accounts in accordance with these standards.
- Experience in Financial Services with high volume operational environment and/or knowledge of fund accounting or hedge fund industry is a plus
- Solid understanding of payroll processes, payroll documentation, and expense reporting, with the ability to liaise effectively with multiple stakeholders including insurances, tax advisors, and client managers.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Proactive, team-oriented and results-driven
- Good interpersonal and client service skills
- Fluent in Swedish and English
