St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church in Yarmouth is seeking a part‑time (18‑20 hours per week) Parish Administrator. St. Bart’s is a warm, welcoming and vibrant community. The Parish Administrator is key to supporting the Rector and our lay leaders in their mission, numerous ministries and special events through a variety of administrative and support tasks. As the first point of contact for visitors, members and vendors, it is critical for the incumbent to be personable as well as professional while at all times maintaining high levels of confidentiality and discretion.

The position requires close attention to details, flexibility in adjusting priorities as needed and a proactive, self‑directed approach to managing tasks.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Church Administration – maintaining parish records, managing calendar and meetings including Zoom account.
  • Communications – creating and publishing a weekly newsletter, informational brochures and promotional materials; processing and responding to communications received by the church office; working with the Communications Committee to update the website.
  • Support of Worship – preparing worship bulletins and coordinating worship volunteer schedule; reporting weekly music usage with music licensing company.
  • Building Management – supporting church rentals, ordering supplies, scheduling routine service and maintenance appointments, and maintaining vendor and service files.
  • Support of Financial systems and processes – processing invoices and payments and reimbursements; providing assistance to church Treasurer and Bookkeeper as well as the Finance and Stewardship Committees.

The Parish Administrator reports to the Rector, Rev. Amanda Gerken‑Nelson. Pay will be $21‑$23 per hour.
