In this role, you will get valuable on-the-job training while working on real repairs every day. You will learn how to take vehicles apart, prepare them for a perfect paint job, and put them back together safely.

• Disassemble and reassemble vehicle parts and mechanical components.
• Sand and prepare body surfaces so they are ready for paint.
• Buff and polish painted parts and finished vehicles for a smooth shine.
• Remove and replace damaged parts using hand and power tools.
• Perform cosmetic repairs to make vehicles look like new again.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or GED certificate. (An associate degree or certificate in automotive technology is a plus!)
• Tools: A basic set of your own hand tools.
• Stamina:
  Physical strength and energy to work in a busy shop environment.

  Skills:
  
  Any experience with welding, auto repair, painting, or collision work is highly valued.
• Certifications:
  
  An ASE certification is preferred but not required.
