Yarmouth Performing Arts Coordinator/House Manager

Stipend: $10,000

Coordinator Responsibilities
  • Coordinates with Yarmouth High School (office administrative assistant) and Community Services (Active Net) for scheduling events.
  • Provides essential information regarding facility use, scheduling, and user fees.
  • Provides oversight of the facility, including ordering supplies, scheduling repairs, or maintaining equipment.
  • Oversees installation of needed auditorium accessories as budget allows.
  • Reports any damage or loss of equipment to the Director of Business Services.
  • Coordinates with the Director of Business Services regarding income/expenses of facility rentals.
House Manager Responsibilities
  • Ensures renters have a qualified technical person/tech crew.
  • Trains capable and responsible students in technical aspects of auditorium operation to form a pool of qualified technical personnel.
  • Monitors the security of the space.
  • During high school assemblies:
    • Sets up and breaks down the requested equipment:
      PowerPoint, microphones, screen, etc.
    • Lines up a tech crew to manage the sound/light booth.
    • Assists in ensuring orderly entrance and exit of students.
  • During functions with other Yarmouth schools or outside groups:
    • Connects with the group’s representative to determine their technical needs, etc., and time of arrival.
    • Present to greet group; stays on site for the whole time they are in the building.
    • Sets up and breaks down the requested equipment:
      PowerPoint, microphones, screen, risers, monitors, etc.
    • Lines up tech crew to manage sound/light booth.
    • Insures that custodian has arrived.
    • Insures the orderly behavior of the audience from entrance to exit.
