Job Description Summary
The Staffing Assistant reports to the Resource Management Center Manager. Under limited supervision, the staffing assistant is responsible for assisting with the coordination of staffing needs for the organization, including maintaining schedules, ensuring proper staff is deployed to each unit, answering phones, recording callouts, providing administrative assistance, and recruiting for current open shifts within the organization.

Hours:

- Assist with coordination of staffing needs, including maintaining staffing schedules.
- Ensure proper staff deployment across all units.
- Answer phone calls and record callouts.
- Provide general administrative assistance.
- Recruit for open shifts within the organization.
- High school diploma or GED with a minimum of three years of clinical hospital work experience, or a bachelor’s degree with at least one year of clinical hospital work experience.
- Ability to establish working relationships with diverse groups, medical staff, and other healthcare disciplines.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and multi‑tasking skills.
- Creativity, analytical thinking, problem‑solving, and strong customer service orientation.
- Proficiency with computer systems, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to perform responsibilities with minimal supervision, exercising discretion, critical thinking, initiative, and outcome achievement.
- Strong communication, independent work, and ability to interpret data, schedules, records, and reports.
Ability to stand, sit, walk, climb stairs, and work both indoors and outdoors in temperature extremes. Must lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted, perform patient transfers requiring significant force, maintain vision 20/40 corrected and good hearing acuity, perform fine motor tasks and gross motor activities, work rotating shifts, overtime as required, and work in a latex‑safe environment. Sensory function requirements apply to selected positions.
