Overview
Waters Corporation focuses on developing a data-driven customer experience model. The intern will collaborate with Marketing, Service, Commercial Excellence, Strategy, and Regional teams to synthesize voice-of-customer (VoC), operational telemetry, CRM, and financial signals into a scalable model that supports segmentation, service tier design, and customer journey optimization.
Responsibilities
- Develop a CX model that maps key customer segments, journeys, moments that matter, and experience drivers linked to service tier differentiation.
- Create scoring/propensity segmentation frameworks and experience driver analyses using explainable methods to identify key factors influencing customer satisfaction, retention, and service demand.
- Build journey maps from awareness to renewal, identifying friction points and high‑impact interventions.
- Triangulate qualitative insights (interviews, surveys) with quantitative data to surface experience drivers.
- Create decision‑oriented dashboards (Power BI) visualizing customer segments, experience metrics, and service tier recommendations.
- Define a pilot‑ready service differentiation plan, including scope, success metrics, operational considerations, and a basic service playbook.
- Prepare and deliver executive‑ready summaries and documentation, ensuring clear handoff of datasets, assumptions, dashboards, and recommendations for continued use beyond the internship.
Qualifications
- Current MBA/Master's student focused on Data Analytics, Data Science, Business Analytics or a related field.
- Hands‑on experience with real business data, including writing SQL queries, cleaning and validating datasets, and using Excel for analysis and basic modeling.
- Working knowledge of data analysis tools such as Python or R.
- Ability to document work clearly, including data sources, assumptions, key methodologies, and guidance for model reuse.
- Skill translating complex analyses into clear business recommendations with measurable outcomes.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders across functions and time zones.
