Camp Setup Technicians

Overview

This position plays a critical role in the seasonal setup and takedown of tents and furnishings at all Under Canvas locations. This is a seasonal, travel-based role. The Camp Set Up Technician reports to the Camp Set Up Supervisor.

• Active team participant in the setup and takedown of Under Canvas Resort locations, including setting up tents, outfitting decks, raising interior walls, and furnishing tent interiors
• Assist with tent maintenance - may include snow removal and other inclement weather challenges; hours may vary
• Manage personal timecard, clocking in and out of shifts in accordance with company policy
• Participate in any crew training curriculum and certification program
• Respectfully live with coworkers in team member housing and adhere to all company and external rental agencies’ rules and policies during residency
• Think critically to respond and react quickly to ever-changing situations
• Able to problem solve to resolve issues safely and efficiently
• Professional in all internal and external communications
• Prioritize tasks effectively
• Participate in team meetings
• Submit high quality work products in a timely manner
• Other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years of construction experience
• Strong knowledge of construction operations and equipment
• Goal-oriented, results-driven, strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Communicate in a clear and professional way
• Interact with a friendly, enthusiastic, positive attitude
• Demonstrate sound judgement, follow direction, and take decisive action
• Learn, embrace, and train team on company policies, practices, and procedures
• Strong organizational skills to execute and prioritize multiple tasks
• Any industry-related certification will be considered an advantage

• This position is fully outdoors - ability to work in extreme weather conditions including but not limited to heat, cold, rain, snow, humidity, and wind.
• This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment, when applicable.
• This position requires that the individual is able to lift a minimum of 45 lbs independently.
• Physical demands include extensive walking, standing, bending, twisting, lifting, and maneuvering in an outdoor environment on uneven surfaces.
• This position is contingent upon the satisfactory completion of a background check and/or motor vehicle records check, if requested by Under Canvas.
• This position may require a valid Certificate of DOT physical examination and satisfactory completion of a road test performed by a competent person, if requested by Under Canvas.
