Growing construction solutions provider, is seeking a skilled and hands on Project Manager to join their team in Richmond, ME. This role will lead on site execution of paving and roadway construction projects while ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who enjoys managing people, schedules, and project details from start to finish.
What You’ll Do as the Project Manager:
- Oversee all aspects of assigned construction projects on site from mobilization through completion.
- Manage daily schedules for subcontractors, crews, and equipment to drive project efficiency.
- Ensure all project documentation, estimates, billings, and compliance paperwork are complete and accurate.
- Attend project and coordination meetings with stakeholders and internal team members.
- Monitor work in accordance with project specifications, safety regulations, and MUTCD requirements.
- Collaborate with leadership to review project status, budget tracking, and cost control measures.
- Supervise hourly construction staff with a focus on safety, productivity, and teamwork.
- Maintain detailed project schedules and adjust as needed to meet milestones.
- Contribute to work zone setup and field traffic control planning.
- Perform other duties as assigned that support successful project delivery.
- 3 to 5 years of related construction experience with familiarity in Maine Department of Transportation specifications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to lead crews and coordinate with stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of pavement construction practices and safe work zone setup.
- Ability to handle fluctuating hours, including early starts, longer days, weekends, and occasional holidays.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proficient with computers including Microsoft Office.
- Capacity to pass a physical and drug screening.
- Supervisory experience in heavy civil, paving, or highway construction.
- Customer facing experience with project meetings.
- Commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred.
- Traffic control and MUTCD certification or training.
